Apple Pork

There is something about pairing Apples with Pork that just clicks.  Pork Chops, and Apple Sauce or Pork Tenderloin with Apple Stuffing are some of the best things you can do with Pork.  Well I am pulling that concept into the Slow Smoker Realm.  This is Apple Juice marinated, Apple Wood Smoked Pork Picnic Shoulder Roast, or Apple Pork Butt.  Look at that color...
I start this process with a kinda small Pork Butt, 6 pounds.  Then I marinate it in Apple Juice, ordinary Apple Juice, for more than 12 hours.  It went 16 hours this time.  At this point I am not adding anything else, just Apple Juice.  Then after the marination time is done I'll drain the Apple Juice, and dry off the Pork Butt.
Then, like anything I put in the Slow Smoker, I'll add a Rub to the Pork Butt.  This time I used Adam's Spices Texas  Style Pork Rub.  It has a good flavor, and is not too hot.  In the meantime I am firing up the Oklahoma Joe's Smoker with the Apple Wood.
I usually pair the Pork with some sort of Beans, and Vegetation.  This time I am using Anasazi Beans which I'll prepare with Tomato, Jalapeno, Onion, Garlic, and a Herb.
The Anasazi Beans will soak in water while the Pork Butt is finishing in the Crock Pot.  The Pork spent 2.5 hours in the Smoker which gave it that great color.  Then it will spend another 8 hours in the Crock Pot, on low, to finish it off.  When the Pork it ready I'll pull it out of the Crock Pot, and use the Au Jus to make the Anasazi Beans.  The Au Jus from the Pork makes the Beans So Delicious...

Making Colloidal Copper

Making some colloidal metals takes some electrical stimulus.  Copper is different.  Letting water sit in a Copper vessel will cause the Copper atoms to infuse into the water.  I am still figuring out the chemistry.  But there is evidence that Copper kills bacteria, and viruses.  Drinking Colloidal Copper has some significant health benefits.  There is some very old science that supports this.  Look at Ayurvedic Medicine, which is Ancient Indian Medicine.  The method, I understand, is to let water sit in the Copper Cup overnight, and drink it in the morning.  Let's give it a try...

Hot Vapor Therapy 2

This time I used Saline Solution.  It is something that is widely available.  Mine is 2 cups of spring water, and 0.75 teaspoons of sea salt.  This ratio gives a salinity of 0.9%.  It's designed to be the same salinity as human blood, so it is compatible with us.  This time I boiled the water on the stove, and then added the salt.  I transferred the saline solution back to the Pyrex measuring cup.  This was a lot hotter than the Tea, so it was producing much more water vapor.  Also hotter water vapor.  This may be the ideal method to use as I feel it was much easier to use...

KILL The Virus!  Version 1.0, 03/27/2020

I found some uncommon wisdom in an unusual place today.

A guy at the hardware store asked me if I thought my Respiratory Mask would stop the Virus. I replied no, that it was there to stop me from spreading a previous infection.

He told me that he hadn't had a virus in 20 years, and then proceeded to explain why.  Viruses thrive at our body temperature, but when you elevate this temperature a little bit it kills the viruses.

This is why our immune system response to a virus is a fever.  Our immune systems know that heat kills viruses, and that is why it turns up the thermostat when you have an infection.

It is so simple. The viruses live in our Respiratory Pathways.  Our immune system responds with sinus inflammation and mucus builds up in our Respiratory Pathways to flush the virus out.  But the virus feeds on what our bodies are producing, complicating the problem, and letting the viruses multiply.

So, what do you do? You elevate the temperature in your Respiratory Pathways enough to KILL the Virus. Whoa, that sounds serious, breathe steam?  Won't that hurt you?

Sure, if you get excessive it could be harmful, but the Respiratory Pathways can take the elevated temperatures that are required to kill viruses.

His first solution was to take a pan of boiling hot water, and breathe the water vapor in through your nose, and deep into your lungs.

Then he suggested that there are alternative methods, like taking a hot sauna.

Water boils at 212 F. and produces steam, gaseous water vapor.  When this steam is released from the boiling water it begins to cool off.  You want the steam hot, but not hot enough to burn you.  Water vapor can cool off considerably before it condenses back into liquid water.

This somewhat cooled steam travels down into your Respiratory Pathways, and condenses, releasing heat. This heat is then radiated into the surface areas of your Respiratory Pathways, and applied directly to the viruses.

Atomically the water molecule has picked up electrons from the heat source boiling the water.  This causes the water molecule to expand, or puff up, and gain energy.  It becomes water vapor, gaseous water.

Then it is free to roam around in the atmosphere.  When the water vapor cools it loses those extra electrons, and condenses back into water molecules.  Then the water molecules fall back to earth as condensation.

The effect of this phenomenon may be the condensing water vapor is radiating electrons at the viruses.  We know it as heat, but on an atomic level it may be like the released electron particles are bombarding the viruses.

After doing a little research it looks like viruses are killed at around 133 F. This is So Simple! It is too simple for us to see easily.

An alternative method might be to go into the bathroom, close the doors, and run a bunch of hot water in the bathtub.  Let it get as steamy as a sauna, and then breathe deep breaths in through your nose.

Make a pot of Tea. When it is piping hot breathe the water vapor from it.

Go get a Bowl of Pho Ga.  When it is piping hot breathe the water vapor from it.

Make some Herbal Tea.  When it is piping hot breathe the water vapor from it.

Make Brine, Salt Water.  When it is piping hot breathe the water vapor from it.

I think it might be possible to use essential oils in this manner as additives to the water.

Appendix:  Atomic Physics

The description of the atomic physics I used above will not make sense to someone who has only studied academic atomic physics.  I have studied advanced information that is superior to what is taught in public schools.  Atomic mechanics are really much different than the academic world believes.  In the future I will include literary references here.

Hot Vapor Therapy

OK, did my first experiment with Hot Vapor Therapy.  Let's make Tea.  Nuthin' special, just black Tea.  I was had some trepidation in using something that was boiling actively.
Then, as soon as it is done, you want to put it out on the counter in an open space.  You are going to stick your face in it next, so clear the counter.  LOL!
Obviously you don't want to stick you nose in the Tea.  LOL!  But you do want to get your nose in there as far as possible.  Right now the Tea has gentle steam coming off of it.
Then I use both my hands to mask off most of the pot.  You want your nose in there, and also limit the blow by space so you are inhaling the steam, and not the air from outside the pot.  So there is the first experiment...  Then wait a while, and you can have some Iced Tea...

Making Oregano Oil Palatable

Pure Oil of Oregano is very strong stuff.  I don't even like to use the 100% Pure Oregano Oil.  The small bottle below is about 13% Oil of Oregano, and 87% Olive Oil.  It was pretty strong at that ratio.  I had recently refilled the small bottle with a the larger bottle which is 100% Oil of Oregano.  I mixed the 100% Oil of Oregano 50/50 with Olive Oil, and it is a lot stronger.  You could make the ratio much lower, and it would be much easier to take.  Maye make is as low as 2% Oil of Oregano to 98% Olive Oil.

Then, another way to get your Oil of Oregano is the old fashioned way, just eat Oregano.  This plant is really easy to grow, and it goes great with many foods.  Pizza, Pasta, Chimichuri, or even in salad.  Generally people do not eat as wide a variety of foods as they should, and this leads to vulnerabilities due to their system not having the necessary resources to deal with the vulnerabilities.

Cherry Smoked Catfish

I found a wholesale meat truck last weekend, and got some farm raised, locally grown catfish.  Well I have to try the Cherry Smoked Catfish again.  The more I use the Cherry Wood the more I like it.  You can smell Sour Cherry in the smoke.  Its amazing...
I'm running the smoker at about 250 degrees, and let the Catfish smoke for just about an hour.
